It is the f10 button. You need to first go into your settings and remap f10 to be shift f10 (so you dont hit it again) then close the game out, go into your game folder and find the cockpit view files and delete them. (or at least that used to be how you did it)
The problem is that hitting f10 sets the default center view to where ever you are looking. But it also conflicts with a default trackir key. So you hit f10 thinking you are messing with trackir and then your whole view system is fubar.
You might need to go to the official forums and search for how to reset the default cockpit views. I think they are in /data/luascripts/snapviews
found this
Check your snap view files in /data/luascripts/snapviews (they can be opened with Notepad). The first row of numbers is the one that's important:
Quote:
cvc = -0.000, 0.000, -1.000, -0.052, 0.000, 0.000;
The first two numbers affect camera rotation (up and down rotation, and then left and right rotation. You typically want these numbers set to 0.000 (or -0.000, it doesn't matter).
The next three numbers cover, in this order, the following: front and back movement, up / down movement, and then left/right movement.
The last number affects camera zoom. You typically want that set to 0.000 as well.
All of these numbers can be set to anything between -1.000 and 1.000. Probably, though, your issue is with the first two numbers. Setting those to 0.000 will eliminate any preset camera rotation.
