I'm having a hard time with the hostage missions, almost every time as soon as I start, they hear me and shoot the hostages with a mission fail. Now IRL they rarely really kill the hostages and if they do it's usually in the middle of a police assault, using them as human shields. They want to keep them alive as a last resort or negotiation... that said, in game how are you guys successfully entering buildings quietly, with stealth, and how are you guys completing the hostage missions... any tips or advise would help.

Also feel free to talk or ask your tactical questions about the game.

Thanks.

Something changed between the last beta and this release.

The tangos are more skilled marksmen than my SWAT. If I enter a room and its 1-on-1, 9 times out of 10 my SWAT officers lose.

Not fun.

ya, it's a great game... but I got to keep reminding myself that it's a game, hence the solo challenges and the ridiculous 12 to 15 bad guys in a house compared to 4 to 6 SWAT... IRL, if this game was a "sim", it would be 2 bad guys and 6 to 8 SWAT... and SWAT would almost ALWAYS win... but then what kind of game would that be...

still loving it... really hope they can get it working and released on iPad, would be a great away from home game... missions are done in 5. wink

I think they have tried to make the point man class more relevant via missions that require speed as much as stealth to rescue hostages. Sometimes, deploying a flashbang is the wrong thing to do on entering a room with hostages as it alerts the bad guys inside and you're done, so consider planning for speed sometimes as opposed to stealth and/or brute force. Also, use the sniper, if available, tactically; you often have to shift his aim from the default target to one who is a more imminent threat to hostages. Finally, always try for a dual-breach if possible, or at least intersecting fields of fire into a room where tangoes are making a stand.
