Got a surprise during my first trip around the hood. A German F4 decided it was time to show the Southistani (or whatever I'm supposed to be) who the big boy on the block was. I actually got a bit nervous while trying to get all those switches lined up. Didn't turn out well ... but it was a nice simulation experience. And look at my scratchy old canopy, that is the most beautiful piece of virtual plastic ever done.

Sure hope DCS does an F4 at some point. It would go great with the Nevada scenery.

The Mig-21 is really quite cool too, although I cannot understand why a country with a need for a general fighter bomber would buy it. It burns fuel like there is no tomorrow. If you cut back on the throttle it sits on it's behind flying nose up like nothing I've ever seen. It's clearly an interceptor with some added other capabilities. Scramble, point up and light the burners, shoot at the bombers and when all missiles are gone, go back to land. If you see fighters ... RUN.
