Yeah, I'd say instead of investing in a 4K 16:9 display I'd rather invest in a 2560x1600 30".
How can you say that when when the 30" 2560x1600 costs about $1,200 and the 4K 28" monitor cost $600 - $800, depending on the manufacturer?

The Colonel prefers 16:10 ratios to 16:9s, so I'm guessing his vertical pixels are more important than the horizontal ones.

Lessons learned with 4k gaming with Win7. Since the screen size is running at 3840x2160 makes looking at the windows screen difficult at best when the icons are so small. Win7 has this nice personalization you can change this from say normal, meaning what you get to 125% and 150%. I set it up at 150% and can final see the icons. And able to work with menus and such. But when you say want to run ROF or X-Plane 10, you must return the windows sizing to default or your ROF will crash and X-Plane you loose menu function control. Took 3 days to get this all figured out. But so far like in 4k on the Computer is beyond AWESOME.
