First data of VEAO Vampire: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=133540Hey Guys,
Got a few minutes to sit down and post this today
The Vampire was a very early RAF jet primarily , Initially called the Dh100 it first flew in 1943 and entered RAF service in 1945, although entering service slightly too late for World War 2 along with the Gloster Meteor it was the mainstay of the Royal Air Force for 20 years, finally being retired in 1966 in favour of the Hawker Hunter (Yes this is also very much in our plans!)
Our variant with be the Fb5, Single seat fighter bomber variant, featuring enhanced armor and lengthened undercarriage as well as external stores pylons the Fb5 was a nimble and deadly in a very neat little package.
Equally suited to the interceptor role it was commonly thought that the Vampire and Meteor should switch roles, however to please the Government of the time the Vampire was designated a Fighter Bomber to avoid post war cost savings.
In 1945 the Vampire completed the first every carrier landing of a jet powered aircraft anywhere in the world (Yes we are looking at a Sea-vampire further down the line )
Serving not only with the RAF but also with the Swiss, Australians, Canadians, Norwegians and Swedish to name a few of its export customers the Vampire was an important jet of the period and we are very proud to be working on bringing this aircraft to you with full EFM and ASM to our usual military grade standards.
Pman

Lol!! I can't help thinking that DCS is like a flight sim with ADD! I'm sure it will be nice, though.

I was lucky enough to see this one fly in Sweden. This was July 2012. They don't keep them in caves anymore I would be very motivated to buy this. Extremely Motivated. As motivated as I would be to buy the Meteor. Vampire 1 by Mark, on Flickr
