I can tell you a thing or you about the Alb against Nieuports, not that I am an experten by the way, but I have managed to survive flying this wonderful craft for months now Albs are Energy aircraft, so fly them with a different approach. Gain altitude, keep high speed, dive sharply n dive sharply too. Boom,...zomm. and practice markmanship, your Spandaus are lethal within 150 m. Don´t turn left if you can avoid it, watch out for rudder usage, ALbs lose tons of speed with it, instead focus on gaining speed, diving, climbing, whatever it gives you time to gain energy. Turn right if you are forced too, never left, if you can, apply rudder softly (the Albs are VERY unforgiving to stalls, and easy to recover) and escape if you are in the middle of a scrap with no altitude or speed advantage, just runn,...err ...flee!! Albatros is all about speed and Spandau, don`t forget it, and well, practice , practice....both flying it and managing frustration When surrounded, almost dead, dive low, very low, dive crazily (specially with the DV, ...and fly cutting tree branches ;)) Regarding instrument tooltips removal, I´d bet it is something devs can easily add to the workshop, time will tell .

The cure is to simply move your mouse cursor off the screen prior to your flight (I move the cursor to the top right corner of the screen while waiting for the mission to load).
Thanks Scout! And thank Aris....boom and zoom so to speak. I'll have to work on that concept - guess I was all caught up on the history books description of the Alb as "agile." Guess that will be relative compared to the Nieuport!

Must be a secret command because I don't see it on my WOFF key card but thanks.
And reference the Alb I knew it was "b & z" against most single seaters I just have to learn patience. My entire flight was suddenly climbing and heading toward the two unknown AC, which were at a higher altitude, but broke left for whatever reason. I didn't see anything so continued toward the two hoping for some hapless BE's but nope...they were the dreaded Nieuports. In their first diving pass they shot me up, damaging my plane and wounding me. Well I tried to play for a while, got a few passing shots as they whirled by my nose, but figured I better run as I watched them turn on a dime (bless the Track IR) after a couple head-on exchanges. So I dove away and, being wounded, decided to land at the first opportunity. So two lessons learned: 1) My AI comrades were apparently smarter than me in choosing when to fight. 2) My lack of prudence, and Bruno Stachel-like desire for victories, always gets me killed!
