It is well known that in the course of a life, there is a time for each thing. Moreover, although I am now in retirement, days still only have 24 hours. Since I started my Aeropostale adventure ( http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4006991/Aeropostale_2014#Post4006991) I have appreciated how it is less stress to fly without anyone shooting at you, only fighting mother nature with its winds, rains and fogs. This adventure will end towards the end of the year in South America. While I will be there I plan to explore the Amazon with an amphibian plane from the sea in Brasil to its source in Peru. When that will be done, I have planned to fly the Mac Robertson Air Race of 1934 from London to Melbourne with my red "Manfred von Richthofen" (Tante Ju) JU 52. Once in Melbourne, I plan a tour of "Down Under" with a modern plane like the Lancair Legacy. This should take care of the year 2015 and after that I will probably open a new freight company in New Zealand where I dream to fly. I also have campaigns waiting to be finished in my Total War series ( Europa Barbarorum, Rome 2, Stainless Steel (Medieval 2), Empire Darthmod, Napoleon Darthmod ) and this takes a lot of time. I also regularly sail on week ends Virtual Skipper 5 regattas since years and am slowly making my way up in the world ranking, and fly often Condor Soaring. I feel I have killed enough virtual people with MGs or bombs during the past 30 years on board all types of planes, from the F15 Strike Eagle III / Jane's F/A 18 / Falcon 4.0 F16 to the Bf 109 / P40 / P52 of IL2 to all the WW1 warbirds. I decided to end the hostilities and I am retiring from all combat sims. I will probably make a flight here and there in WOFF or Rise of Flight, but nothing like participating in continuing events. I will still be reading the forums and might post from time to time. I am glad I was part of the OFF/WOFF adventure and to get acquainted with the great crowd here. I wish you all good flights and check your six ! PS : Olham I think you can take Alex Ackworth off the DID campaign result sheet, he has been promoted to an office job at the general headquarters. PPS : And if this was not enough, my son who lives a few hundred kms from me have asked me to play online with him "Elite Dangerous" when it comes out end of the year. I accepted also because Elite was my first game in 1984 on my Commodore 64 and it's like a jump back in time !

Have fun! Feel free to pop in and continue to remind me to check my six...I need it!
The older I get, the more I realize I don't need to be Han, Luke or Leia. I'm just happy to be rebel scum...

Thanks for your msgs. Yes MFair, I have read and studied enough about buddhism to know that everything is constantly changing and that part of the way to happiness is to accept that nothing ever remains the same.
For the news, all my future adventures will be a few clicks away in the AAR section of this forum. But I will continue reading everyone's high deeds in the dangerous skies.

It looks very good, I have been following the beta evolution since a few months.

Best Regards; Thanks Robert, it's been a pleasure to fly along with you all. As I said in a previous post, I will be only a couple of clicks away with almost daily reports in the AAR section of SimHQ. I am looking forward to see what WOFF 2.0 will be like, but I can't take any more commitments in ongoing events.

Pleasant skies to you. and may they be breath taking sunrises, and thoughtful sunsets...
...and your glass always full
unless you prefer 1/2 full

Blue skies, corsaire! Funny, I recently started playing Napoleon Darthmod. I'm going through the tutorials now, and am looking forward to getting into the campaign. Best of luck in your civilian flight sim adventures!

Thanks all for your nice msgs. This is the day : I replaced my Logitech joystick by a Saitek Flight Yoke ! (In fact I keep two profiles because some planes I use are flown with a joystick !)
