Wow....just.....wow
what exactly we looking at?...so I can replicate
whats the FPS like compared to similar in FSX?
....wow
It's stuff I picked up over many years of using FS9.
The base scenery is Ultimate Terrain Europe, with Ground Environment Pro 2006. The airports are all UK2000 Xtreme Series. The AI pack is one that I downloaded many years ago on a recommendation. Sky, cloud and water textures are from a very recent environment pack I found last night, as are the SweetFX and ENB settings. If you want specifics let me know.
Looking through this HDD I found I've got hundreds of airports that I collected over the years, and loads of airliners to fly. Enough to keep me busy for a while I think.
If you tried similar in FSX you'd get an OOM. With FS9 it's butter smooth on my 2011 gaming laptop (haven't installed it on my desktop). The ground textures and autogen are clearly inferior to what you get in FSX, especially if you're an Orbx junkie the ones in FS9 will now make your eyes hurt. Likewise virtual cockpits in FS9 are a big step backward from FSX, so you're firmly back in the era of the 2D panel.
Still, IMHO this is far and away the most complete airliner flying experience, far better than FSX. The simple fact you can fly into and out of big airports with realistic amounts of AI aircraft, with real weather and complex aircraft addons makes it superior to FSX for this type of simming.
