Spitty me old mukah. Have you made any instruments bezels. Specifically BFP size for the Hurricane (I dare say the earlier spitfire had the same sized holes). I need them for all six instruments. (See the incomplete white panel on my cockpit).

Cheers.

Spitty. Here are a couple of your bezels in action. I have them fitted to a temporary BFP using Virtual Cockpit in Cliffs of Dover. Your DG Bezel is quite thick, so the panel has to stand off the monitor by about half an inch.

Can you supply a big Turn & Slip Bezel, and an Altimeter please. All for the Hawker Hurricane me hearty. Cheers.

Earlier on, I flashed up VC, and did some scaling. Here is the result. You don't notice the gap. And all the gauges are free! Wahay. I am sat on my arse on the floor looking straight at the instrument panel. Trying to get a decent shot.

Oooohhh nice mate...
Yes the BFP,s do sit out from the main panel by a bit due to the anti Vibration mount design. Here is detail of the Spit setup. Will do up a Large turn and slip bezel for you..

Cheers Spitty. Please post when done and available. Do you have one that fits the Hurricane Altimeter hole?

I'm just off to order your Gunsight bracket - £120! I can get a real one for that!!

You are the only one I know doing these bits & pieces. Doffs cap, tugs forlock in your direction.

I need a bezel for the Altimeter hole. This is a different size to all the others. It's a Hurricane, not a Spitfire. So your drawings are no use. I don't have a drawing with the dimensions. But could probably find out the diameter if you need me to? The Altimeter Bezel is flush with the panel, like your artificial horizon bezel.

I have saved the top ring but will buy that and the alt bezel at the same time if you can knock one up.

Cheers.

Blimey Spitty I don't know. Not at home right now.

I doubt very much if this helps but here is a photo of my BFP for the Hawker Hurricane (BoB), which had a unique altimeter (not found in the Spitfire).

The instrument fitted in the bottom left hole. Photo of the BFP:

Photo of the Hurricane Altimeter (I own a real one):

Altimeter and Directional Gyro (I also own a real one of those too) Notice the size of the DG (most of which is hidden behind the panel). DG fitted the Spit as well as the Hurricane, and your Bezel fits my BFP Perfectly.

Your other "standard size" bezels fit the holes for the ASI and Climb and Descend. Your Artificial Horizon, and Directional Gyro bezels all fitted too.

Couple of your bezels in situ - I had ordered a few more, but they were still in transit. My Directional Gyro "adjuster" was a dimmer switch from B&Q (Brit DIY store).

My instrument panel in Cliffs of Dover using Virtual Cockpit to display the BFP gauges. Note how well the bezels (Climb & Descend, Artificial Horizon & Directional Gyro) finish the effect off. The DG reading, fits your view panel perfectly (as do all the other gauges).

I will try and get the dimensions of the Altimeter hole for you.
