I just got it myself, haven't played yet, but I'm scared just looking at your screenshots. Why do I want to torture myself and I can't even handle overly scary games? Its a sickness.
I got the crap scared out of me from a bunch of sparks falling from some wire.
I saw it once so far as it followed me into a tram. I saw him, didn't know if this was supposed to be some sort of cutscene QTE or something, couldn't hit the button, then heard him walking up behind me. Its dark outside now. I need to stop and watch some cartoons.
I think I've seen enough to know that I won't be playing this game,industrial strength underwear or not. I'm still recovering from Amnesia:The Dark Descent.
Just one thing though.Are there places to hide where you would be safe as long as you don't come out or are you forced into areas where you have to react to the alien and just run. I'm the 'cowering-in-the-cupboard' sort of guy
Running doesn't work. It's faster than you are and it will catch you. As in the screen above, I hid in that locker for a good 8 minutes, attempting to plan my next move. It would slink into the room, look around, back out, back into the air ducts and so on. But as you can see in the above, it found me eventually.
Started playing this last night.Switched the lights off, put the headphones on and thought to myself, right I am going to try and play this game right as I haven't been immersed in a game for a while. I played for around 2 hours and I must say the atmosphere it creates with the sound and awesome graphics has me hooked, one of the better looking games of late.
I love the sounds of the computer terminals, straight out of the Alien film and the music score really puts you back in that mindset. I haven't seen the alien yet but had a close call, for anyone that likes the Alien franchise you will like this.
