No idea why, but neither VLC player nor Daum Pot Player will play 1080 videos properly. The audio and video get out of sync and the video eventually freezes.

I've got plenty of RAM and CPU and GPU so this shouldn't be an issue. No idea what's causing this. Both video players are up to date.

Give SM Player a try. I dumped VLC for similar reasons. I use it in Windows and Linux,it has some good features.

You probably have some codec issues.

I tried SM Player and that has the same problems.

How can I solve this annoying problem?

Try Disabling Hardware Acceleration and Effects, Sounds Like GPU/CPU Hardware Decode Rendering Fail (Can be a Driver issue)

With AMD, Some Drivers cause BSOD for MPEG4/H264 Videos, and some drivers dont.
