Hey, that looks pretty cool!

Alas, I'm addicted to computer wargaming now. Not going back to cardboard. wave2

High over the Front
Reminds me a bit of Fight in the Skies (or Dawn Patrol) by Mike Carr that I played endlessly as a young lad.
Still have it as a matter of fact but like Slick said going back to cardboard will be tough after WOFF.

If I had the money, I'd probably get it. Even if I only play WOFF from now on. The rulebook would make a good bathroom book, if I could get a book into the bathroom past She Who Must Be Obeyed.

From the data card if looks more like Ace's High or the one from Yaquinto that I cannot remember the name of right now {Wings?}. I am too lazy to go out to the garage and dig through my seven cargo boxes of old games.

And I would pay a LOT for something like this to be made into a computer game. Sid Meier's Ace Patrol doesn't quite cut it for me.

Same here. Something like Flight Commander 2, Over the Reich (PC) or Achtung Spitfire (PC) for WWI would be ideal.

Have any of you tried the online 'BLUE MAX' at: http://www.youplay.it/?
It's based on the board wargame of the same name and it's free.

Never heard of Blue Max

I was thinking along the same lines as FC2, OTR or AS. Some bright group of people made Star Fleet Battles into a computer game, so I assume it can be done for a WWI board game. I just imagine there is not as big a following for a WWI game than there is for Star Trek or even Star Fleet Battles.

This game can be played on the computers as it seems to have a Vassal module. Only there's no AI. But you can play against an opponent or as Hotseat.

He has been working on the game for years. Also new modules will be released covering different eras.

I'd love to see a PC conversion with an AI.

Vassal isn't really the same as a PC game. It is a good tool though as it means you can play those boardgames gathering dust online.

I may wait until the actual box version..though if I have some spare money at some point I may get it in download aswell.
