That is a fantastic deal for this game. I paid full price on release and thought it was worth it at $80.

Almost unlimited potential in this game.

On sale already?....That did not take too long!...That product is now at the same price as Harpoon which separate soft kill from hard kills in ASW, when CMANO does not make that distinction!...

So....stay with Harpoon. The one's that have bought CMANO and stuck with it have no remorse.

Especially the ones that paid full price, seeing it on sale today!...

Most games end up on sale after around a year or so, in fact most AAA games are on sale within a few months on Steam.

Nope, no remorse and having bought into this early on from day one. It's been a pleasure watching this game mature into the ultimate modern naval simulation, surpassing your benchmark game by leaps and bounds. While it may not differentiate between a hard or soft kill in ASW, it certainly has no list of un-fixable bugs like your benchmark game does. Additionally, it's continued growth into a very accurate and robust simulator only proves the naysayers to be totally lacking in their thoughts about it's current and future potential.

So, as mentioned before, you have your game with it's distinction between soft/hard kills in ASW and it's huge list of bugs being investigated by it's development team (sarcasm, couldn't help myself) or just watching a new standard establish itself and not be fortunate to have such an avid warfare enthusiast contribute to making CMANO even more realistic. I've seen many of your posts in other threads and for the life of me, cannot figure out why you dislike this title so much. It's right up your alley of detail and accuracy.

Anyway, to each his own. I have no regrets at the former price point I paid or where that price point will be 2 years from now. This title has been an investment of much of my time and have no regrets to those that do not wish to invest in it. It's their loss.

I guess I don't understand your issue then with regards to the price, since you now have it at a price point you prefer over the price point from a year ago. I would expect you should feel triumphant over the savings versus the content, in your opinion.

BTW, I never return the game for a refund, I transferred the code from Matrix to Steam. And the WOTY version was also available with the last upgrade from the Matrix website.

My yardstick game is not Harpoon and it is secondary as I am really impressed by you clever maneuver, you put a smile on my face. And people say negative tramp positive, I'd say, it is the other way around.

LOL! I'm not your enemy brother, but as stated, I've read many of your postings here and abroad. Do I always agree with your sentiment, not so much. However, you seem to have a hard wired negativity about this title and it seems unfounded in it's current state of release. It's not to say there shouldn't be discussions about it's strengths, faults and merits. There absolutely should be, to make it a stronger simulation. But the team has been in overdrive since it's release to resolve the U-turn Phoenix missiles, the BSOD and other issues or bugs. Harpoon's development team, well, it's never going to go beyond it's current state because it's no longer supported. I suspect, given the time this teams put into polishing this gem, that it too will eventually have hard and soft kill distinction, as well as a dedicated multiplayer environment.

Bottom line is you're a hard core simmer, seeking realism and authenticity, both commendable but rarely do the two combine into a game format. CMANO does strive for that excellence and is fast approaching that capability. So, patience Tom. The team has built the a great foundation and the people are now seeking their product.
