Is there any way of getting newspapers while you are in the hospital? The way it is now, you are advanced the time you spend in the hospital and do not get a chance to read the newspapers. While not a big thing, I think it would help to draw you into the WOFF world and add a bit to the immersion factor of this wonderful game.

Good idea but no not currently, newspaper is "read" as the date advances when you are in the campaign screen. When you are in hospital it of course you "skip" to the next active date. Put it in the wish list who knows one day..

I figured it wouldn't be an easy fix. And certainly not high up on the list of things to do.

And this game really doesn't need much help on immersion. In my current career {RNAS}, a HA ace that I downed earlier {Mohr} was just KIA {read it in the newspaper}. Gave me a feeling of sadness.
