I don't know why but infinitely scrolling web pages really annoy the living hell out of me.

and their definition of simulation is not mine. Wha??!?! Mount your Friends is totally a simulator! PS: Link contains cartoonish "realistic" body physics of the male variety.

Was going to make a thread myself about this on another forum. I think it is a step back. Bloated, confusing, full of advertisements ("Curators") and community junk. Likewise, their recommendation lists make little sense which is not unexpected.
The one thing I found interesting that was not directly related to selling was the 100 top selling games list, which they removed.
In short, I want a store. No community junk or advertisements. I want to search for my items, not have the store throw out suggestions which I won't like. For community pages and whatnot, well, there is a whole subsection dedicated to that already.

Where have the links gone to the forums? You now have to go to 'Steam Discussions'? What a great idea It was always a discussion tab, but the familiar label of "forum" was still in use on the store page, making it one convenient, easily found, click away. Now it is 2 clicks away (Community Hub button at the top of the page, then the Discussion tab) Confusing to me, when I started looking for it.

But that 1 click took you to the relevant forum for the game you were looking at in the store, now you have to go to discussions, click on game forums and type in the name of the game or am I missing something? It just doesn't strike me as being an improvement at all.

I'm just getting grumpy in my old age,I resist change Family, friends and ex-co-workers have long given up on me being able to help them with their computer problems. I use to be go-to support but now they need help with Windows 8, tablets and AutoCAD 201-whatever. Meanwhile, I've gone back to Win2K/XP and a DOS prompt! But you have to enjoy what you do, mandatory on-line, relentless advertisements and touch-screens piss me off! And now my Satellite ISP won't even play YouTube videos at 144p (Win7 + I.E./Firefox and parent's Android/Chrome tablet), so with the exception of occasional interesting SimHQ discussion, I have little reason to go online anymore. It's not that I don't like change, it's that I don't like HOW things have changed. Or maybe I'm in denial?

Well, the ends will justify the means in this case. If sales on Steam don't increase or even drop then I'm sure Valve will re-evaluate. On that note, Steam has just past 100,000,000 (one hundred million) active Steam accounts (with active meaning unique accounts that have bought a game in the last 30 days). In January it was 75 million, so that's quite some growth so far this year..

I really don't like it. Looks like a jumbled mess. And I couldn't give a flying $%$# what some Youtube channel owning curator has to recommend to me.
Much preferred the old layout when the default tab was "new releases", not "top sellers".
Now when you scroll down and finally find it, it's "popular new releases". I don't care what's popular, I just want to see what new games came out.
I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.
