I'm replacing my desktop due to a lightning strike. The system I've chosen has 10 3.0 usb ports. The devices to be used are: mouse, keyboard, TIR 5, Plantronics headset, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFDs, and MFG Rudder pedals.

Does anyone think there will be any problems using these on the 3.0 ports?

Thanks for any advise.

Shouldn't be a problem. AFAIK USB 3.0 is backward compatible all the way down to USB 1.1.

In theory there is full copatibility but actutally a few number of USB2 devices give e bluescreen or misbehave whe n used on USB3 ports but is not very common. Some Logitech devices are plagued by this issue.
Also some android devices (but this can be fixed with a firmware upgrade or a different rom)

I have issues using Asus Spitfire (distorted sound), but this is on a front panel from china (that connects to the internal motherboard usb 3.0 expantion ports), I have yet to try it with the MB back connectors.

As others have said, on paper you should be fine, but in reality there can be issues.

My advice, is to google all the USB periferals you have + USB 3.0, and see if others are having issues.

FWIW, all mine are plugged into my 2.0 ports...I think.
I'll check this weekend if I get a chance.
