What do you do?

Throw the core away, or eat it?

In a related topic, what do you do when you eat a radish? Throw away the green leafy part, or eat it?

Eating an apple core is just weird. Weird and wrong.

Why? Think that a tree will grow out of our cheeks while sleeping face down? *eats the core*

fruit eating is always interesting subject - people always make it differently.
in childhood I had usually bite apple around and throw the core. now I don't care about such stuff and eat whole apple, without pod of course. apple seeds are beneficial for health but I don't care about it either.

One of the things I learned since owning a parrot is not to feed them apple cores, because apple seeds contain arsenic.

If you eat the cores, don't bite open the seeds.

I thought apples were cyanide, rather than arsenic?

Eating the apple core is the number 1 (well, at least top 5) thing that my wife thinks is weird about me!!

Have done it since childhood. NOTHING left after I eat an apple except sometimes the stem after a good long period of using as a toothpick or chewing to fibrous mush..

Depends upon the apple. A lot of cores are hard and that thin, translucent skin take protects the seeds are sharp.

Last time I bit into an apple core, it was dry, tough, and fibrous. Not the experience I was looking for.

I don't eat the core, and I NEVER eat radishes.

I also don't eat the cob when I eat the corn, the skin when I eat an orange or banana, or the stems on cherries and grapes.

Don't eat it neither. I never get near the center of any fruit with a core. To me it's a mysterious place with doubtful flavor and texture where worms like to live (I know it's not true).

Also, I don't even bite fruit, I use a knife to cut slices out of them.

No one has eaten the greens off a radish?

I was at a friend's house once, chopping the top of radishes off for a veggie plate we were making for everyone who would be there. His father-in-law straight up eats the top of one of the radishes like it is no big deal.

I look at him with my stupidest look, thinking "Did I just see what I just saw?"

He looks right at me and says "You eat the bottoms, don't you? Try it."

For the next 20 minutes, we finish the veg tray, eating all the radish tops. Yes, they were washed biggrin
