"Azarkant" (2013) - Written and Directed by Andrey Klimov. In a future, a team of astronauts are sent on a ten year journey to a distant planet to find new life. On their way, they encounter a large, abandoned spaceship that is drifting in the orbit of a mysterious planet. Superb 3D animation and all done by one guy in Russia! There are elements that are taken by other Sci-fi movies and/or even games (i.e. Alien, Terminator, Halo, etc.) but still a great short. Enjoy!

Don't wait for the translation answer me now!!!!
“Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”
Where'd the gravity come from? The ship didn't appear to be rotating.
Maybe the Director/Writer did not pay much attention to his Advanced Physics professor during class in a cold winter night somewhere in Northern Siberia where not even the Yeti dares to take a poop break.
I always have a hard time with the idea of people who can make their own gravity, yet seem to still need to wield projectile launching hand weapons. This is the sort of stuff at the core of lazy SF. And if you're doing animation, you can't even plead SFX costs.
