Thanks for the heads up. Never heard of nGlide before.

I tried it and at first it seemed to be working great. Even got to run in 1280x960 with antialiasing! Too bad this happens whenever the sun comes in to the screen. It happens in all resolutions and regardless of AA or AF settings, but only in 2D view. Perhaps I can live with it...

Hey Doomer you can try older version of nGlide (if you are using the latest 0.98) - scroll all the way down on the nGlide download page to see downloads for older versions. When I flew JF-15 some time ago I didn't had any issues with nGlide, but I don't remember which version exactly I was using at the time (for sure it wasn't the latest one). Uninstall current version, install older one and see if ti helps - it's worth a shot.

Hiding in the bushes
Nice to hear, I've just wanted to report that 'dgvooodoo 1.50 beta 2' works with settings suggested by Reticuli ( link ) although I had to drop the glide2x.dll into Windows folder for it to work (it didn't worked with the 'local' install in the F-15 directory) and additionaly had to set the file as a exception in AVG as it was seen as false positive.

Well going back to nGlide!

hi x ray i downloaded your fixed EXE
game doesnt crash but it freezes (before the new EXE i would get a messages that F15 has stopped working and now it just freezes...sometimes 10 mins after i play sometimes 40 mins :\

can you help me figure this thing out please i really want to start playing ...i practice so much and i dont want to start playing like that...nothing more annoying to fly 300 nm and just before you press pickle the game stops frown

i found today interesting thing
when i load a specific mission from the single missions 3 seconds after the game start it crashes back to desktop unlike the other crashes in random times

Update
I had a full format for my pc and the same mission crashed again but it's ok now with your fixed EXE

I doubt it's this but go to the option screens and check your in game settings. There used to be an issue in the beginning where some detail option or the like sometimes wasn't set to an actual value when the game was installed. I think it dealt with explosion graphics since I remember people reporting the crash would happen around the time one of their bombs went off. I thought we put in something to check for this but it sounds close enough it wouldn't hurt to make sure.

If it's happening before then it's not the problem and I was pretty sure they made sure everything had a setting when they did a patch. I did a quick web search but no luck but if you want I can keep looking for a link relating to it. I have the feeling it's probably some issue with changes in the operating system and drivers. We came out at the beginning of Direct X when the "standard" was hardly that. I hope someone else who's been playing recently has some other ideas that might help you out.

Well I just had a full format to my pc but didn't change the OS (win7 64 bit home premium)
I hhave no idea why it happened but I play now with a batch file from fighters anthology that eliminate the Explorer and I managed to do two missions(long missions actually. ..500 nm ) with success

Yes I would love to see that link please

I haven't been able to find the places where they talk about it. I checked CombatSim's forum archives but they don't go back far enough. I check the newsgroup and the closest I got was a guy saying he got a crash as soon as a Maverick hit but no solution was given at that time:

https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!...38/hdC6Ov2rY6kJ

More people were having problems due to their swap space but I doubt that would still be an issue. There also was a bug with the radar line of sight code which could cause a crash in the Iran campaign but that was fixed in a patch.

I'm glad you seem to be OK so far now and sorry I haven't been able to find it for you. I've spent a couple hours looking and I really need to get some other stuff done this weekend but if somehow my Google Fu gets stronger and I'm able to find it later I'll come back here and post the link.
