Who here has seen this? I finally got around to watching it tonight and thought it was perfectly typical of Wes Anderson: quirky and eccentric with some great dry humor! biggrin

I watched it last night with my brother because he hadn't seen it. He liked Moonrise Kingdom so was keen to see some more films by Anderson. It was my second time of watching it and probably won't be my last. I just love the way he makes his films yep

I've seen all of them except "Rushmore". "Grand Budapest Hotel" is definitely my favorite from him.

It was really great seeing F. Murray Abraham again. I hadn't seen him on film for a long time.

Definitely one of the best movies I've seen this year. Moonrise Kingdom was also excellent. I think he's really becoming a great film maker. Breaking free of some some of his earlier cliches while maintaining his unique sense of style.

My girlfriend saw the movie with me and she was completely unfamiliar with Wes Anderson. Her first comment during the viewing was "this movie is kinda weird". lol.

I'm not sure if calling a film "quirky" is appropriate or should be considered a compliment?

I looked it up on IMDB and found out that the film was mostly filmed in the Saxony region of eastern Germany. Pretty cool.

Watched this today. What a fun, strange and very entertaining movie! smile Great cinematics, and great acting all around. Ralph Fiennes deserves an award for his role!

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

I only started watching it . . . WOW. Just WOW! I find myself cracking up and at the same time asking myself, "Do I get it?" It has Adrienne Brody and Willem Defoe! And Edward Norton! And Jeff Goldblum! Sh!t, if I'm not careful I might even be in it! biggrin

The cast was quite eclectic and of course excellent. I was happy to see F. Murray Abraham again.

Dang that was good!!! A total surprise! So different from everything else. I have seen my share of "different" movies like "The Royal Tenenbaums," but this one was story telling at its finest.

I haven't seen this yet but I love Wes' films they always have witty humor and great style. And of course many have Bill Murray too loved Moonrise Kingdom and Life Aquatic.

I've got a bad feeling about this.....

I like how he uses the same actors in his films.Bill Murray,Edward Norton,Jeff Goldblum,Owen Wilson, and Tilda Swinton to name a few.

It's like he has a 'pool' of actors/actresses he draws from and they always deliver in my books.
