Just killing time and saw this:

8 guys to get just 1. The peacefulness of the whole thing is almost hilarious. I know it's serious business, you never know what you will face, but still... biggrin

BTW he wasn't a drug lord or anything like that, so it's not like they were expecting a lot of thugs in there with guns. The man had been wanted for 20 years after escaping when he was found guilty of "easy trigger", a cop killing an innocent without any reason to do so.

I guess they needed some publicity video... smile

EDIT: correction, he's not found guilty at all, he just escaped before they could get him.

How do you know it was only one? You didn't until you saw this video.

Which leads to the point of it all. Whenever you see a video, you've seen the entire story played out. The people in the video don't have that luxury.

Yes of course, they're not paid to risk their lives just because. But the thing is this: the guys is a cop, one day he apparently shots when he shouldn't. He runs away before they can get him on trial. 20 years later they find him due to some tax papers. As I said, he wasn't with the mafia or anything like that, so 20 years later you go to his meat shop to arrest him.

I would assume that you only need regular cops for this, single guy in his meat shop that's not part of a gang wanted for something that happened 20 years ago, of which he hasn't even been found guilty.

Seems like pretty obvious reason to me why they'd be extra careful about trying to take him.

Yeah, just because he turned out to be easy to take in doesn't mean they knew that ahead of time or that he couldn't have been some pseudo-mountain man "you'll never take me alive, coppers!" type.
