Assuming you mean the Radio by Spektrum?

Well, I'm currently a 6i owner, (so no reason to upgrade), but It's the radio I'd buy if I were taking up the hobby.

Main reasons being:

-my 6i has served me very well, and the 6 is a step up in features. Might as well get "this years model"

-compatibility with Horizons line of ultra micro planes (which have the RX hardwired in).

Just my $0.02 smile

All this is assuming you mean the new 6' (the black one), there is also a "DX6" that pre-empted the 6i, but it's not compatible with the latest Spektrum technology, and has been discontinued for several years now.

I hoped to find someone with one. I was told it mentions something about setting up 2ch applications in the DX6 manual or inbox information. this would be for RC car use

I need to buy a new radio for my cars I use mode 2 stick type and not the steering wheel and trigger type.I also operate my cars without a reverse, forward and brake only. I know the DX6 would be a great radio to use with scratch build plane projects so I am trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone given that is a area of the hobby I want to expand into.

I do not know much about the DX6i I assume there is no programming features for rc car use but I assume there are ways to get it to run them....? In which case the process should not be much different with the DX6.
