I need a program that will allow me to edit a PDF to a AZI document. I have to cut out ads and copy and paste some pictures, but mostly there are articles surrounded by ads.

If you can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it, especially if the editor is free.

I need to actually edit the magazines. It was scanned, but there are ads and stuff all over the place. I would like to take the articles and the photographs and put them into Kindle format and then just drop the ads, since they don't really have a point that people would want to read. Most are ads like we have today, correspondence courses, small business opportunities, questionable medical devices, etc. I figure few would find that interesting to read.

Why then were they scanned to pdf instead of to something like png?

PNG? Like images? It's because they were scanned with OCR.

I found out that they recommend you use MS Word to create books.

I'm so livid at MS though. I had to get a warranty replacement on my laptop. I went to reinstall Microsoft HUP. The email I qualified for it requires I change my password every 90 days. I've changed my password since purchasing it. It won't log me in on that password and I've tried every variation of my old passwords to get it to long in. I've tried resetting my password and MS tells me, "This email is not managed by Microsoft, please contact your administrator to reset your password."

So why am I logged in the email, but can't activate the program with the same exact password?!?!?!?!?!?

Open Office instead of Word???

You can still use Word for free if you want. Google Office 2010 starter and you can have both Word and Excel,albeit with unobtrusive ads.

It isn't spending $10 that is ticking me off, but that I can't get access to my SkyDrive with the online files because of their stupid stupid programming decision.
