I've had this happen a few times now and I can't figure it out. Occasionally, when I have my plane on Auto-pilot and try to exit out of it, the throttle becomes unresponsive. If I go back to auto-pilot, the engine seems fine again and the auto-pilot can rev it up to full RPMs. Did I suffer an engine failure and missed the warning message? Does going on Auto-pilot 'cancel' engine failure? confused

The only way the throttle works when coming out of Auto Pilot is that you must move the throttle all the way to "0" and then you can increase it to where you want it (it's been this way for some time now).

CPU = i9 11900K
GPU = RTX 3080 Ti
Monitor = ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 2160p G-sync

Huh I've never noticed. Or perhaps I have and I do the throttle twerk by instinct now as I use auto pilot quite a bit while I enjoy the view.

Out of curiousity what kind of joystick do you use sandman?

One thing that annoys me if I use auto pilot is when it resets the trim. I setup my trim when on the ground so every once in while I flick auto pilot and trim setting gets reset to default then when I turn off auto pilot I frantically trying to setup trim again.

I think this is a big arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh maybe you can look into it too thumbsup

Thanks for the tips, all. I have a Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X (although I am constantly tempted to upgrade to something better). I did not know about the 'cut your throttle to 0 when in Autopilot' rule, and to be honest, most of the time when I deactivate Autopilot, throttle functions just fine without doing that. So I'm not sure what's going on, and again, it doesn't happen all the time, just occasionally. I'm going to keep an eagle-eye out to see if I can get a sense of what is going on if this happens to me again --

sandman, I've experienced the same thing, too. Since then, as a rule, I always bring the throttle down to zero, then back to whatever I desire. That works every time.

My gear is CH Products Pro Throttle and FighterStick, along with Saitek combat pedals. So I don't think it's hardware related.
