Hmm...I don't know, mate. I just checked: if the water went there, then it must have been banned by Rick already, because there sure was no water there. neaner

No problem. It's absolutely nothing against you Chaz but I read the article and I knew right away the thread would most likely go down the environmentalists vs. business interests road. smile

Reminds me of what happened in the Aral Sea. In that case, most of the water disappeared into agricultural irrigation. The place hasn't quite been the same ever since.

Definitely PWEC material here. I don't know how you can keep it from going that way.

Droughts happen, and that is safe CH material for sure. But how you manage the water when you do have it, as opposed to letting it slip through your fingers is a capital "P" followed closely by it's friends "E" and "C", and no mistake.

not only in California but Texas and other parts of the country as well - it's been weird for sure. A few years ago i posted photos of Lake Travis in Austin, Texas and how low the water had got. That's about the time Texas also lost 10% of all it's trees due to the dry conditions.

Today Austin is in flooding mode and Lake Travis in the last two days has risen by 6" from the rainfall. Go figure!

But as far as this having to go to PWEC ...idk.... droughts come and go and may be a combination of longer term weather patterns plus water usage from growing populations of towns/cities and nothing more then that.

This and man made climate change is still a pwec topic? Denying man made climate change is like denying evolution, or gravity... exitstageleft

A lot of this is a function of how very, very much above its carrying capacity the State of California is. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

Those pictures are absolutely amazing.
Whatever the reason for the water loss, it is fascinating to see it.

Oh for Pete's sake. Somebody flushed, that's all. The level will come right back up.
