Any thoughts on these two turn based tactical games? Which of the two is better, either worth grabbing?

I had that same debate with myself... I bought and supported both because of the want to support both great gamer developers, the type of games, and different platforms at the time, and IMO both are very good, tactical games. Breach and Clear started out as a iPad (iOS) game, then later came to PC... while Door Kicker's is only on PC, but would love for it to come to iPad (iOS). (hint hint) Playing both I really liked and found myself playing Breach and Clear more at first. It was a nice squad game that you progressed through Rainbow 6 type maps and missions, and then you could customize your squad members/ weapons etc etc in many many ways. Different types of weapons, different tools to use... recently they came out with a new DLC based on that Frozen Snopsis game, that I bought but don't care for, wish they would of gone more to police/SWAT type missions. DoorKickers is still in ALPHA, but a very good alpha, plenty more features coming and the developer seems to listen to it's player base in detail, anything and everything ever requested has been reviewed and almost all approved for future development. It's a simple game that is great fun, but hard to master... I see great things down the line for the Doorkicker game, and it keeps getting better and better. I like it more then Breach and Clear now. In summery, both are great games, but both not perfect... Breach and Clear is more military based, while Doorkickers is more SWAT based... and I prefer SWAT action more then military just because of the lopsided on Mil games vs SWAT/Police games. And the game presentation leans more to SWAT tactical missions more then Military missions. jmo. Oh and BTW... Doorkickers lead developer is a long time SimHQ member, and deserves SimHQ's support...again IMO.

Thanks Magnum. I imagine I'll end up having both eventually, I'm just being a cheapo atm. I personally prefer mil based, but they're both within a swat style environment so I guess that doesn't make the two much different in that regard then. So sounds like DK is the one to start with, pretty cool that the dev is a member here too. Downloading now

I see that Breach and Clear is on sale on Steam. Very tempted to get it...
All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!

Hmm.. that's not so great news. I've been burned on a few games like that before. Maybe I'll do door kickers.

Got it on a whim, enjoying it so far. Magnum is in the game, and I got him killed just screwing around on a map. I resurrected him on my roster, I felt bad
Scully: Victim died of multiple stab wounds. Mulder: *throws her a file* Ever heard of the knife alien?

I reload a save if anyone dies, like SWAT 3 I feel too bad if someone bites it

Just wanted to drop a quick scoop as I felt its appropriate for the SimHQ public- if you're looking to get our game (Door Kickers) any time soon, head over to http://www.indieammobox.com/game-store and get it at 20% discount (also keep in mind that the game price will bump up by 5 bucks once we're out of Early Access = late October). You'll get a steam key (maybe also the DRM free build in the future, if they upgrade their store) and 20% of the proceeds to Operation Supply Drop, a charity that sends games, consoles and swag to US troops and their allies.
