If Shrek and Fiona could fly, this is what it would look like.

I sat here and looked at the picture for awhile. Assuming they're not that far from each other the Hind looks smaller then i imagined. Perhaps it's because i've walked around the Apache and got up on the engine cowlings.
Could be because the Apache is a taildragger and the Hind isn't. The Hind i remember seeing in Rambo with all the guys inside and door gunners so imagined it bigger.....anyway just rambling lol.

The heli in Rambo was no hind, even though they called it that. Much like a Mig-28.

In Rambo 3 the heli is a french Puma with some mod.

That's a long lens taking a picture from a good way back. It flattens the picture and makes the distance look smaller than it really is.

160km maximum range for the Hind? Surely not.

Yeah,I thought that may be a typo, will research further.

*Found this which seems much more realistic.
Normal Load: 450 km
With Aux Fuel: 950 km

Still nowhere near the range of the Apache.

The army used to have a Hind or two they flew at Ft Polk.

Yep i was at Polk when it was still 5th ID. Changed to 2nd AD and went to Hood.

I was held over pre-JRTC until i PCS'd to Hawaii.

Once at Hawaii my first deployment.....yep JRTC. I saw the Hind at the Airfield but all the US aircraft were gone of course.

You know, the Hind is actually bigger than the Puma by several feet. So, if the Puma looked big....
