I'm didn't want to say anything.
But....jeez yeah, that lifts my heart.
The way the relationship really should be.
Every guy I worked with was looking for someone to 'save'.
Wanted to 'protect' the honest citizens.
Traffic was a mandatory business, not something anyone I knew 'enjoyed'.
And in 'Detroit', we didn't do much of it.
Cops should get out of the 'traffic enforcement' business, IMHO.
It's killing us, and really, unless it's a criminal offense, none of our business.
Civil Infractions are not Criminal activity.
State Laws are.
Reckless Driving, Careless Driving....etc...are criminal.
Speeding, stop signs, improper turns....etc.....are not.
In Michigan anyway, not sure of other states.
We need 'meter maids' to enforce minor traffic violations.
I guess it's easier for 'governments' to lay it on the cops.
But unwise IMHO.
Sure would like to see more interaction like that Ken....
Warms my heart.
But I suppose it's just a fantasy.
Too much water under the bridge now.....sad.
But it's what almost all of us, want.
Thanks for the laugh, appreciate it.
