So,as u read in the title i want to play falcon bms lan with my father.Is it possible? And if it is some instructions would be appreciated

I cannot remember if you can play LAN directly, but I have played with my son by setting it up like a regular internet connection, even though he's only 3 feet away from me.

Problem is what options to choose in comms,which ip adress to connect, my computer's or my house ip,u know we have a shared house ip but different pc IPs

AFAIK you just need to enter the host's LAN IP.

I think this is correct. Don't forget the host should connect to 0.0.0.0
Also not sure about BMS but I think previous versions of falcon would not allow two computers on the same LAN to connect to an internet server (because of port forwarding).

There shouldn't be a problem with two computers on one LAN.
The host should enter 0.0.0.0 in the IP field and a reasonable
speed (do NOT FORGET to press 'enter' or 'tab' key after entering
the speed value.
The client should enter the 'real' hosts IP (something like 192.168.1.5).
Same procedure for speed entry.
Saving the settings in the comms/phonebook helps for next connection.

ok after many unsuccessful efforts to play lan i decided to try online,so i tried to join veteransgaming server, the message was failed to connect to server,even though i have forwarded ports and checked IVC..what am i doing wrong?The reason i cant play online is probably the reason i cant play lan....Any ideas ?

no it is 4.32.6 does that mean i havent installed update 7?

yep, install update 7 if needed by host and be sure to have the correct theatre selected

yes i ve already installed update 7,however at the first screen in falcon bms,at the bottom right it says 4.32.6.and when i try to install update 7 after extracting it to falcon bms setup, it says ive already installed it ,and in fact i have installed it but the bottom right says 4.32.6 ???

I've had this maybe twice wherein the game will say I have the Update installed even though I was sure I hadn't. I had to uninstall the whole thing and re-install. Fixed it.

i reinstalled the game and the version now appears right,however i still cant connect to veteran gaming srver or any other server.Have i done something wrong with port forwarding ?

Might be. What ports do you have open? Can you try hosting a server and having someone check if they can connect to you?

already checked that and failed, i have ports 2934-2937 udp and tcp and 9987-9989 udp,my friend however who couldnt connect to my server didnt have his ports open and he also said that he for some reason cant open them...Any idea what's going on?

IIRC, opening ports is only required for the server side, but it's been a while since I've flown.

Can you guys connect to each other in OTHER games?
