I'd say I'm impressed, but that would be a massive understatement. That is amazing!

As someone who was with American for 37 years, that paint scheme has been hard to get used to. But you did an incredible job on it. I'm very surprised that they actually got back to you on that.

Stunning work! A TOTAL labor of love!

Wow! Looks great, DetCord!
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Thanks for the kind words gents. I am running into issues. Painting certain layers in this paint-kit doesn't have the desired effect most of the time. Out of all the addons I've ever done paints for, this paint-kit has to be the worst.

Unfortunately trolls are almost everywhere - and that's why I like SimHQ so much. Good moderation.
As my dear mother always used to say, "if anyone can do better, let him/her go ahead!"

As my dear mother always used to say, "if anyone can do better, let him/her go ahead!" I typically don't go there and stick to SimHQ, but I thought some might be interested in it. The only positive the AVSIM is that it's much more populated in the civil aviation side of the house than here. For what it's worth, Avsim just banned the guy that trolled you. Great job! What are you using for a paint program? Adobe Paint? Well I'm not going back so it really doesn't matter so it really doesn't matter at this point mate. Moving on... Thought I'd post this progress report (with images) so everyone could see why it's taking so damned long. http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/84615-100-accurate-american-repaint/?p=606877

As am I. They provided PDF paint schematics (A320/737/777) that are absolutely massive in size. I mean the zoom level goes down to around 8000x6000+. The detail is amazing.

I tried making a skin for a plane once. It looked like yesterdays lunch. That was in EAW I cant imagine trying it now as complicated as todays sims are. You have my greatest respect.

You are bloody lucky. Very, very happy to watch you make the most of this opportunity. Christmas came early for you, didn't it? R
So the Thunderhawk would come screaming out of the sky at mach ohmygod! and as soon as the struts hit the ground they would rip off. You're trying to apply scientific principles to 40k. Do you not see the problem with that?
