It's sad to see my pilot added to the ranks of the fallen, but the DID challenge really made me try to fly smart and stay alive and getting to 83 hours was a big thrill for me (my typical pilot before DID would rarely make double digits). Thanks to Olham for organizing this, and to Jim for tracking all our stats!!

You were much of a good example how I SHOULD be trying and flying, Scout!
Perhaps my "E" pilot will get SOMEwhere...

Your pilot did twice as well as any pilot I have had so far, 77_Scout. Small comfort, I suspect.

My pilot is staying alive (with Victories = 0) and is a real chicken pilot. Maybe I should make him a skin or have him fly an all-yellow Sopwith Pup - not that that would be allowed sigh

Wow! February 6 really was a bad day at the WOFF front.

Thanks for the chart, Jim.
My "B", "C" and "D" pilots seem to be missing?
No problem though - I know they are dead.

I'll have a look at the data to see if I can find them. What often happens is that when a pilot dies the DiD 'Forum Name' person (eg Olham) does not capture the data for the dead pilot but carries on with a new one. If there is anyone there who has kept records for 'dead' pilots he can capture them at any time - it does not overwrite existing pilots.

No, the only dead pilot I have for you is Andreas Harms - your A pilot.

I have Bernard Harms until 7 Sept
and Constantin Harms until 21 Nov
and then Edzard Harms until now.

No D pilot. sigh

Jim, I made a calculation error on days in the hospital. I typed 22 on the form when I should have put 19 (+1 day escape) since I will be flying again on May 22nd. Can you fix that or should I refill the form with 19 or 20?

No problem, Jim - my "D" pilot was a short-lived guy who went "kaputt" through a problem,
without having flown at all. Then I started "Edzard".

The number of days wounded is just a comment to me - in WOFF itself it is used to calc when you can next fly and not before that. Of course everything you capture on the web is unknown to WOFF. I just get your data and calculate the points! I don't think we are particularly interested in the days wounded. In fact I was at one time not going to capture it at all.

Again, if you make a mistake with hours, either the numbers or the Strong/Medium/quiet sectors it will set the points wrongly but ONLY for that capture. If you do the hours again it will be fixed. In other words, the data is not processed accumulatively (!?) but just your LAST capture is used. Some of us keep exact records and others don't. Mine tend to be on bits of paper that get lost..
