It's getting down there now. Says no dlc, haven't read enough to know what all that relates to or if its necessary to enjoy the game.
For those in the game, can you confirm if this is something we can do as a group? Any kind of base we could all use as a home of some sort?

Is there a release date or target besides just "2014"?

I am really interested in elite. Howerever I agree its abit pricey and after sticking a wad of cash into star citizen backer I will wait abit.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger. At first I wanted under $100, then I wanted $60...close enough. Going to take some time to get used to the controls and set up before I know what I'm doing.

Honestly, there's currently not much we can do as a group, as the net code doesn't always group a group together as a group. It makes sense if you don't think about it...

But seriously, we've attempted group up's, and the implementation of the current p2p net code results in various degrees of instancing, where some but not all of the group end up in the same instance. This will probably be addressed in the next update.

I'll be online tomorrow (Sunday) if you wanna give it a go.

I pulled the trigger on this as well now, don't have much time to play MWO lately so maybe I can spend the small bits of offline time I have getting used to Elite again after all these years.
