We had a guy at work get caught trying to steal copper welding leads. He had it wrapped around himself under a jacket.He passed out going through the gate because of a combination of the weight he was trying to carry and the heat.

Two guys, brothers, i knew as an unruly teenager where skipping court, and the state. They were only 15 and 16 and had organised a ride with an older guy they knew to get across the border. The car they were in did a head gasket about 50ks short and they had to hole up at the only motor inn on the highway, still this side of the border, while aa mechanic waited for the parts. They got busted at the motor inn as they had a lot of cash for kids their age, were smoking weed in the room and generally running amok.
The owners called the cops, cops came, busted them for skipping court, drove them a couple of hundred k's back the other way to the closest cop shop. While there they were wandered out of the interview room when left alone and into another room where they found a heap of weed which they proceeded to eat as they had no other way to get it into their system. They got busted and it was added to the list when they finally appeared in court.
This would have been 1985 and in the middle of a small outback town in the Northern Territory in case anyone is thinking ' why the hell would they be unattended and why would weed just be sitting around in a room ? '
In court when the judge read out the last charge of them stealing weed and then eating it..more than a few eyebrows were raised lol. I didn't know of this until then and i was just ..wtf dudes, really ??
One for the books.
