Youtube videos are okay, but nothing beats printed material for learning something technical.
I'd like one all encompassing tutorial covering travel to Mu, other planets, building stations/bases, rendezvous etc.
Is there such a beast?

I have not seen one since everything tends to be video via Youtube. I also like to have something in print but I think it might be a problem with this one still moving ahead in development.

That's great I wish I had the steam version of the game now.

You don't need steam version of game to follow link and see the tutorials, I was looking at them at work today where I don't have steam installed.

Not that I have seen. Everything I know has come from YouTube Scott Manley and a lot of trial and error.

I generally use the steam overlay if I need to reference something. As previously mentioned Scott Manley has a whole lot of KSP vids.
Scully: Victim died of multiple stab wounds. Mulder: *throws her a file* Ever heard of the knife alien?

This is the ultimate game of "trial and error" haha! Gotta embrace it! I can't tell you how many times I've played KSP and thought - "Crap.....now what?"
