I did a quick intercept mission. Just a twin engine prop job and I couldn't catch him! With full throttle. Guess its time to break out the books! I must be doing something wrong. Just when I finally got the hang of the Mustang, I do this to myself. What a masochist!

Are you sure the throttle axis is mapped? It was pretty easy for me to catch up with it the first time I flew that mission.

Yeah must be something related to your axis assignments.

Yes, guys. Thanks, that's what it was. My old joystick was acting up. I had a hell of a time trying to get the throttle to go to full. I was getting 70% percent thrust and that's as far as it would go. It just wouldn't calibrate correctly. Didn't have that problem with the A-10 or Mustang so it never occurred to me that it might be that.
But its fixed and I already nailed my first MiG in the Jabara mission. Gonna enjoy this one. Thanks again.

Just a note..it appears you can damage the engine from running 100% constantly...as I couldn't catch up with the recon plane in the quick start mission and it turned out I had trashed my engine..would only get 70% out of it. Also, was practicing air starts and did same thing.. I don't think it was the joystick mapping, in my case anyway.
