I read somewhere that they have a lot of earthquakes in the Crimean region and I thought it would be really cool if they were in LOMAC.
Just think, armies on the ground, fighting to the death, when a 8.5 earthquake hits! Maybe a huge chasm opens up and swallows half of them and the other half are so scared they go running home! Or, or, imagine coming in to your airfield after a tough mission, shot up, low on gas, fighting a crosswind, you touch down, but the ground is rolling like a shook rug, and you crash! Ha, what a kick that would be!
There could be aftershocks and tidal waves and volcanoes erupting too. Do they have hurricanes in Crimea?
I don't see where this would be difficult to add, if it's not there already. If there's a patch later, maybe it could be in that.

I want the virtual Godzilla upgrade. Imagine the forces of Good and Evil combining against the massive might of Godzilla, Mothra and King Kong.

We'll be releasing the Tsunami & Earthquake Expansion Pak right after the Hollywood Movie Monster Expansion Pak. Cheers, Carl

Independence day expansion pack: I wanna be able to take over one of those little discus shaped jobbies and fly rings around Will Smith...
Oh yeah, and I wanna fly one of the big mother ships so I can blow entire cities away with that big laser pulse thingy.
Just a few lines of code, right?

20mm, earthquakes are in LOMAC already. I'm suprised you haven't noticed but it could be that you just don't have the settings set properly. To see them, set the game's resoulution to something ridiculously high, crank up all the effects, shadows, water, snow and clouds. Turn on mirrors and heat-blur and then set AA on your video card to X4. Now when you fly over a large city you should see it kind of appear to jerk around and stutter a bit. That's the earthquake! Personally I think they could have done a better job of modeling an earthquake but at least they made the effort.

Carl,
Three very important questions: 1. Will the "Hollywood Movie Monster Pack" include Mothra and Rodan or will it just be Godzilla?
2. If you add in the robotic Godzilla will he in fack have a flashing beacon on his head?
3. How many weapon stations does Rodan have available under his wings? I've gotta believe he'd be one uber bomber.

I guess I can wait for earthquakes and tidal waves, that Hollywood Movie Monster Expansion Pak sounds awesome! This is a freebie, right?
I can't wait to face Godzilla in my loaded-for-monster Hawg. We'll just see how tough he is compared to 30mm DU!
Reload, that seems like a lot of work. And I don't want to have to guess about whether an earthquake is tearing the very foundation of Crimea apart, I want to see buildings falling over, gas mains exploding, people running through the streets in mass panic, giant splits in the earth so deep you can see the molten core. Now, I do not think that's too much to ask of a flight sim, is it?

Ooh Ooh Ooh - how about the 'politicians as targets' expansion pack: all the world's rotten old power crazed anal-retentives sat riding around in motorcades waiting to be strafed: now I'd buy that....

I want the Hunt for Red October to be modeled in complete detail, with ultra-advanced AI duking it out in the Atlantic (hmm, I guess the water will have to include the Med and Atlantic ocean now, right?), with full fidelity sonar modeling, water temperature blankets, mines, decoys...
Also, could we model satelite above the Crimea? Not just photo recon, but ELINT, SatCom, and civilian telecom satelites? Oh, and space station MIR? Mir could occasionally crash on a random airbase, along with the Hindenburg and Titannic, yea, that's the ticket!
POLITICS, WAR, ECONOMY, CONTROVERSY! and other heated discussions and debates in the PWEC sub-forum at the bottom of this forum main page. See you there!

But won't the earthquakes crack the airport beacons?

Gee I was just hoping for some lightning strikes an loosing some sistems, but you guys, WOW, now thats using your imagination, hehe... I second the motion for the Hunt for Red october add on, and Wouldn´t it be grate to have the hole nort atlantic, including the eastern continental USA?, I can fancy with a 14 hour fligth and 6 to 10 refules in my Eagle, jeje, Or better yet stealing an F-22 from Nellis and flying it strait to Rusia Of course modeling the whole FPS interface to get into Nellis have a nice shoot out with some 30 to 40 marines, jumping on the aricraft, doing the whole startup procedure (I dont care it´s calsified information, just get the documents and model it right to the last switch and knob) , then using its stealth capabilities to escape the National Guard F-16s and then the thrill of the 14 houres flight... Dam its an excellent add-on, imagine flying a patrol over the atlantic, trying to detect those subs, and wow , to release sound buoys, jeje, and spend countless hours listening to that sonar.. (of course you must model the whale´s singing, and do separate models for breading seasons, Sismyc activities is a must specially if your planing to introduce the earthquake patch, Matt must know someone in "Sonalists", that can help with the sonar modeling OK, Ok I over did it somewhat, jejeje...
