Wondering what to expect. I have CH Products gear that I have been using for years and it is still going strong but I wanted to try something new. I was going to get a Saitek X-55 but I like things that last like my CH stuff so I decided to bite the bullet and spring for the Warthog. So any surprises in store for me when comparing the Warthog to my Fighter Stick, Pro Throttle and CH pedals?
I will still be using the CH pedals obviously.

I don't think there's anything to be surprised by, maybe save for the stiffer spring force on the stick and possibly some annoying stiction.

The only other big surprise may be the revelation that TARGET only allows one virtual device, unlike the Control Manager. Limits your programming capabilities a bit.

If you plan to fly the A-10C then expect the best.

The AUTOPILOT button lettering is getting a bit worn, but that's after ~4 years. My China Hat is going grey.

Not using TARGET here -- just the DCS Options for mappings.

I got to compare the X-55 with the Warthog last weekend. There really is no comparison. The X-55 has tons of buttons, dials etc, but it's still cheap plastic.

The Warthog is huge and feels great. You'll love it.

After four years the only thing I don't like is the play present in the main stick. Still trying to find a permanent solution.

I just got the X-55 (after having a Cyborg 3d for the last decade) I really like it.
Do i wish i got the Warthog? .... ehh, I like having the extra $300 in my pocket.

I had done a lot of research on the two joysticks. The Warthog seemed to have nothing but positive reviews, and the X-55 was hit or miss. I saw some people were having trouble with the profilers, but i don't use Saitek software, so that wouldn't be an issue with me. I thought i'd chance it anyway. worse comes to worse, i could just return it.

In the end, I'm really happy with the purchase. I will say though, that the joystick is massive! Some of the buttons are hard to reach. Not sure if the Warthog is the same

Enjoy it, Rumpelhardt.

Last setup I had was the CH Products Fighterstick, throttle, and pedals before replacing with the Warthog and Saitek combat pedals.

CH Products makes good equipment, but in terms of feel, CH stick and throttle are like something from Fisher Price compared to the Warthog.
