Get it! It is the best Ferrari F40/BMW E30 M3/Lotus 98T simulator out there. There are also a bunch of other cars included that some people like to drive because... I'm not sure why. Then, after you have paid 50% less than I did for this masterwork, download THIS road. Then drive your face off. Or your butt. You will drive at least one of those parts off of your body.

Yes. The hand animations are very nice, distractingly so. You can also hide the entire wheel, which is what I do. You can also have the wheel, but have it locked with no motion (?) .

I've had it for a while now and I've been enjoying it quite a bit. Hopefully some day the multiplayer will come out of the alpha state though.

What impresses me the most is that the team really puts the driving experience first. I know it's still in beta, but it seems so stripped-down until you get on the track and drive. The cars just feel so alive.
And the mod scene is really taking off. There's a Shelby Cobra that would be completely justified as payware.

Physics and eye candy wise?
How many other high fidelity racing sims are out there besides iRacing? Ok, there's GPL but that's a 16 year old sim. lol

My ranking of current racing sims (GPL is too old for me to enjoy these days): Physics: iracing > AssettoCorsa > rFactor2 > GameStockCar > Project Cars > rFactor/GTR2/Shift2 etc
Overall for me Assetto Corsa has the best combo of physics and feel and eyecandy in a current sim without a monthly service fee like iRacing, also lots of modders have moved to AC instead of rFactor2 so the future is bright.
If they continue working on the multiplayer code it might even beat out iRacing and rFactor2 as my favorite for online racing as well. Very happy with it at full price nevermind at 50% off.

I hope Project Cars has better physics in a later build. I have high hopes for that one.
Just curious, if you've played GTR2/Race '07/Evo, where would you place that in your physics scale?
I have the same hopes for Project CARS physics too
GTLegends/GTR2/Race07/Evo used to be my favorite offline sim engine until I tried out iRacing, I was never able to really enjoy the physics/FFB of those much after that, too bad because I really loved the variety of series and cars and tracks available, after that I mainly only revisited it with the improved physics of the Power and Glory mod which was terrific.
I wish Simbin had continued to evolve and improve the GTL and GTR series, I tried their R3E sim and just did not get on with the physics.
One thing I love about Assetto Corsa is the physics are very drivable when you drive the car reasonably, but when you really push it, the feel of the tires and weight comes alive, just like a real sports car.
I have played them all and would rate Assetto Corsa the best for handling and FFB. I don't care if it's numbers specific but it has the best feeling of actually driving out of all of them. It ruined project cars for me.
It looks very good, but I prefer the carset and the software management (i.e. not Steam) of RF2. Physics wise I can't compare, though NetKarPro was pretty decent so if they didn't "consolize" it then it should be solid.
But why people import RF1 tracks and run it in a 2014 sim without visual updates... not sure.
This early access model really screws with the prices, though. This is like the 3rd or 4th major sale for this game already and it's still months away from release.
