I own almost all of those- except the latest Bioshock and Borderlands, but they release AMAZING stuff.
Civ V has enough alone to let you play until you grow 200 years old... But it's a Turn based strategy, YMMV.
All good products really.

Well, it depends on what you like.
But IMO the XCOM enemy unknown + Xcom The bureau bundle for 5.09 is an absolute steal.
I would also say the 3 bioshock games are a very good price as well. I have not played Bioshock 2 only 1 and 3 and I have to say 1 is the best. THat to me is a very good price for a VERY good game (bioshock 1)
I have no experience with borderlands and the CIV games.

Devs said there was stuff there, but you just couldn't see it.

Ho boy o boy. That's a fantastic bargain. Metro: LL is a very good game.

I'll be getting Metro 2033 Redux next week. LL played much smoother than 2033, so I'm glad to see it ported to the newer version of the engine. Wish Crytek would've done that with Crysis years ago, although seven years later I can now play it maxed out with great performance.

The Jedi Master Really looking forward to this! Glad I decided to wait for the redux versions of Last Light and 2033 as per your advice!

There's been changes to how levels were lit, akin to a director shooting a scene with lights in different areas. It was also painfully dark. My eyes would hurt after awhile in some sections because I was trying to make out detail in low contrast, low lit areas.
The major difference is 2033 was a hog. It wasn't optimized well and nothing ran it great, powerful PCs could run it "ok" and midrange PCs it was less than ok. That video is misleading because it shows appearance differences when the big change will be performance. I remember most of those scenes in that video stuttering on my GTX570.
Bottom line is a video showing no performance issues and where you're only watching and not trying to play really sells it short. Metro LL played better on my GTX570 out of the box than 2033 did and I never played "WTF am I looking at? Is that a wall or a door?" in LL.

With the mods you don't have to miss them. They look almost as good as Metro at times.

The Jedi Master Which ones? As I I tried CoP recently with some all in one mod and it looked pretty basic...

I played it with the Complete mod the last time I played it. I know there are many others but I've yet to try them out, they're on my to-do list when I play it again.

This is exactly my situation. I've learned that pre-ordering makes no sense when it comes to digital purchases. It's not like you can "run out" of digital copies. On rare occasions I've preordered if Steam had a 10% discount and if it was a highly anticipated game.
