The folks at Leatherneck Simulations were kind enough to let me preview the MiG-21 Fishbed and here are the first of many videos to follow. This is a ten video series where I hit a few of what I would consider highlights of flying the aircraft. Videos 1-4 will cover start-up, shut-down, take-off, landing, and basic handling, videos 5-6 will cover radar usage and air-to-air employment, and videos 7-10 will cover the air-to-ground employment options that are available. This is almost three hours of gameplay and it does not even scratch the surface of what is here. Needless to say, I wouldn't be doing all this if I did not think it a top notch product.
These videos are not intended to be tutorials so please do not take notes unless it is to remind yourself of what not to do when the sim is released! . I did, of course, read the manual (both the real one and the one included with the sim) cover to cover beforehand but need one or two more good reads before feeling confident in the information I am giving. You will be seeing my very first use of the aircraft and systems apart from a quick breeze through the built in training missions. These should only be taken for what they are: gameplay videos intended to give you an idea of what to expect and maybe to help you avoid some of the early mistakes I made, and there are many!
Speaking of tutorials, several "On the Range" videos are already sketched out in my mind but will have to wait until the release version comes out just so I am sure what I present matches the final version of the software. Those, as well as the rest of this series where I cover navigation and some of the more obscure systems will come soon enough.
Be warned, the pace at which I explore each topic is faster than my normal "Test Flight" videos but may still be a little slow for some. A shorter 20 minute "First Look" video will be available in a few days that is essentially a recap of everything i did here.

Great videos as usual. I wasn't planning on buying this module as it wasn't interesting me that much......however these videos are enticing me in! Damn you
