I sure hope Sir Mix A Lot saved whatever money he made during his 15 minutes of fame. If not he's probably working at a Sears today.

^^actually, he played at one of the county fairs here in NC a few years ago... Can't remember which one though...

I recently read an interview with him on the 20th anniversary of his breakout hit. He still tours and does new stuff, but acknowledges nothing he does will ever touch that one song.
He's also fine with it, none of this "but there's more to me than this one thing" that some entertainers express exasperation about. He does a 10 min version of the song in concert, drawing the experience out, because he knows it's what a lot of people solely come to see him for.

Maybe those baggy pants will come back in style and he can start his own clothing line?

I will nuke the United States if those pants come back. I will march into DC, beat down the White House door, and demand the launch codes. And they will give them to me.

Does that even qualify as music? It was more like white noise from a TV to me.

I'm more horrified at that screeching Jabba-the-Hut-in-a-mini-dress thing re-enacting scenes from The Blob than I am by what I guess is meant to be the music. Shouldn't they be pouring salt on it to try and kill it rather than giving it a bad weave and air time?
Pardon the expression, but what the hell is this sh!t!? I made the mistake of looking up the lyrics... poetry of the highest and finest level one can get.

The original wasn't good, but at least it wasn't this bad, I mean ok the guy likes big butts, fine, but this one is in a whole new level.

When you're feeling sad, just remember that somewhere in the world, there's someone pushing a door that says "pull".
I really think the zenith of music was doo-wop. After that, it all went down hill.
Does this count? Because if so, then I am with you. I still love all kinds of music, but I have a special respect and love for doo-wop that came from the 50's.
