In todays patch, BI decided to force the launcher on us when you click "play" in steam .. so make sure you go into "paramaters" tab, then click "mods" and add them one by one by clicking the little "..." at the end. Whatta faff ... good old BI changing stuff that didnt need changing!!!

I've got a 942MB patch on steam for ArmA 3 but it won't finish downloading. It's gotten 539.6 MB / 942.0 MB and the download just keeps unqueing or something. Says Update Required, I click the little button that looks like an arrow with a horizontal line on top of it thats right under the Update Required and it'll start and then immediately stops. Tried restarting both Steam and my PC multiple times, no luck lol.
~~EDIT~~
figured it out, disk-space issue... time to clean up the ol' hard drive.

I searched through the ammo box the other night and wasn't able to find the "unreasonable amount of armor protection" vest in there.
All jokes aside, Tao knew about this already on the player side, one of the last revisions of TMR nerfed the player grenadier armor values. I know because I had been quietly taking grenadier slots whenever I could and he ruined it for me. Ruined it, Tao.
Well maybe not ruined - Grenade launchers still = good time.
Everybody gets everything they want. I wanted a mission. And for my sins..they gave me one.

Whatta faff ... good old BI changing stuff that didnt need changing!!! I've had the Dev version for a while, but last night was the first time I messed with the launcher (I need to change the load order and I don't think PwS does that). I couldn't figure out what it was asking when you clicked the "...". Do you click it multiple times and each time you click a specific mod folder? And then go to "Addons" to mess with load order? Yikes, that's cumbersome.

you have to click on each mod folder, 1 by 1, in the order you want them.
I think the addons tabs must be for steam workshop addons only, as it has 0 effect for mods.

Odd. The launcher appears to be entirely optional for me.

Odd. The launcher appears to be entirely optional for me. Yes, me to. I've confirmed I have installed the new version and launched 4-5 times now, searching for a "Launcher" and there is no sign of it. I have the same screen/process for accessing Multi-player games as before ... am I missing something ?

I don't see anything different either. No launcher, or anything in sight. I just double clicked my same old customized icon and it started Arma3 with all my usual addons ready to go.

Which is still odd, because I booted the game via steam (double clicked on it in my library) and got an option to either play the game, or start the launcher. I started the game and everything worked as normal.
Then again, I also use the in game mod menu because I got tired of character limits when defining mods via shortcut.

I always play through steam but pressing the play button. No launcher here for me. Odd, though I configure all my mods in-game (the main game menu) so maybe that's it?

I think the addons tabs must be for steam workshop addons only, as it has 0 effect for mods. I played with again last night and I still must be doing something wrong. So it sounds like what you're saying is that there will be a path for each mod? So it will NOT be: e:\Steam\blah\blah\arma3.exe @mod1; @mod2........ Instead it should be: e:\Steam\blah\blah\arma3.exe @mod1; e:\Steam\blah\blah\arma3.exe @mod2; I ended up giving up again last night and just loaded with PwS again. It's a shame, as Toadie has a JSRS plugin for his AKs now, but it needs to be loaded last. Also, for what it's worth, I never see a Launcher window come up unless I go into the A3 directory and actually click the .exe. But I also don't play through Steam, just PwS.

I just use Arma3Sync. I've been really happy with it. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=22199I have a folder just for SimHQ mods. However, I realize that I may be telling you guys that the sky is blue and water is wet.
