President Adams was right - mole men.
And that crazy Jackson cut the funding for the expedition when he assumed office.
The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."

Well, logically speaking, since we can only have ONE apocalypse, it's obvious that it hasn't occurred as yet. And that obviously brings us to the conclusion, that it has yet to happen. One of those things that you can only be right about.....once. And after it occurs, nobody is going to pat you on the back and tell you how smart you are. So, therefore, if you want to look smart, the best place to put your bet is on "It's not going to happen". I'll keep my chips on the 'no' side of the table on this one. The odds are against it......so if I want to 'look' smart, I'd say "no".... If I'm wrong, nobody's going to collect...lol...

The problem is people misuse the word. A literal translation is that it's a revelation. So, the collapse of the USSR when it was revealed that it had been failing for years under its own lies was an apocalypse. It's just some big secret being brought to light mostly. Now you've got people who want to co-opt the word into some sort of end-of-the-world term, which bizarrely seems to be desired by many. People have been saying the world is going to end for thousands of years now and they've all been wrong, obviously. Yet people seem to gravitate towards those who claim that not only is it coming, but SOON. A cult leader talking about the end of the world in 500 years will get zero followers. Says it's within 5 and he gets a crowd. The Jedi Master

It's just that the apocalypse itself as always left us hanging high and dry, and I think it'll continue with that nasty habit.
It's like the "Rapture". It's coming very soon....it's just around the corner!!

Yes, the Rapture, an idea that's less than 200 years old, that's rooted in plausibility.
The Constitution is older than the Rapture, but it was written by people alive then.

The Rapture is rooted in plausibility?

I don't know about the Apocalypse, but if I was in those woods at night and heard that sound,it would freak me right out.Does anyone know,or heard an explanation for them? Probably some atmospheric hoo-haa. Mick.

I saw Elvis riding one of those worms near the Walmart yesterday, now that surely is a sign of something, like me needing new glasses.

Just an FYI, sounds like this are universally referred to as "The Hum", a fitting creepy name http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_HumI love watching night time videos of the noise, it's quite a hair raising thing.
