Hi all,
A while back I'd posted pictures of the WNW Pfalz D.II and the Fokker Eindekker E.I I'd built.
I've just finished the SE5a so thought some of you out there might be interested.

Oooh the detail!

MACHINE GUN FIRE: CAMBRIN by ROBERT GRAVES (September 25 1915)

The torn line wavers, breaks, and falls. 'Get up, come on!' the captain calls 'Get up, the Welsh, and on we go!' (Christ, that my lads should fail me so!) A dying boy grinned up and said: 'The whole damned company, sir; it's dead.' 'Come on! Cowards!' bawled the captain, then Fell killed, among his writhing men.

Sandbagger;

Very nice wiring and weathering. Diorama's take a lot of time and thought. I know because I've done some in the past. The figures are nicely posed and I particularly like the fitter at the prop.

Excellent work.

And one sees that same attention to detail and accuracy in the SEs that soar Over Flanders Fields. Sandbagger is their skinner

Which reminds me I must go to the War Museum in Joburg and look over the SE5a they have there. And take my camera of course!

Beautiful job Sandbagger

Wow, that is amazing work! I remember one of your earlier works here, you are a museum quality modeler!

I ran across this thread looking for something on navigation. The rigging, the weathering, the rusty manifold! My brother-in-law just bought the Airfix Bf-109E-3/4 in 1/24th scale (My wife rolled her eyes, "How many years will THAT sit downstairs), and anyway I hope I can do half that good. I haven't seriously built in years.

Great stuff, sir. I'm happy to pop it back to page 1 for others' enjoyment.
