I have been testing out PWCG 3.0 with the Kuban map added and it is coming along very nicely. Pat does some excellent work and his Campaign Generator really brings the Box series to life. Of course Box still needs some heavy work on the AI, but they have come a Good way along with it already. It is better but still needs some much needed Love. I wish they would just throw caution to the wind and build a great AI like WOFF UE has. I really think it would generate a lot of revenue, but slowly goes the way of progress I suppose. 1C is doing a good job of fleshing out this Sim, I have to admit. The clouds already amaze me, see P40 pic with cloud background, I can't imagine how good this will look with the new multi layered clouds and the extended Horizon. The little details amaze me also, like the 3 Ratas in a row, the lead pilot looks like he is reaching up to adjust the sight. Maybe that is just him reaching up to wipe his goggles, but I caught it at just the right time and it looks like he is adjusting the sight. thumbsup winkngrin : Also, the entire skinning Community has produced some awesome skins. Well, hope all enjoy these sweet pics. salute

At the risk of getting flamed: Are you able to have swastikas on your skins now?

If so, how??

Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Matthew 5:11

Indeed we call blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, because “the Lord is compassionate and merciful. James 5:11

Those are custom skins. The stock skins that come with the sim do not carry the hakenkreuz.

Ok I Just installed the sim this weekend (zero mods) and only flew a little bit trying to get my stick/throttle set up and after a belly landing I was looking at my busted up Bf109 sitting in the snow and there was a swastika plain as day on the vertical tail.

I love looking at the screenshots you guys take of the IL-2 Russian Front series. And now with Operation Bodenplatte coming out, I'm picturing a P-47 done with this same amazing attention to detail, and for the first time in years I'm excited about a new flight sim. Hope they can stick to that Spring of 2018 early release date.

First flight in IL-2 BOS/BOM...

Had to download some proper skins, can't stand the censored default versions... mad mad

Took off, flew around, even managed to land.. (did a few donuts at the end of the runway.. too much right wheel brake... yep ), looks good so far...

My second flight in BoS. Got the basic keys assigned and my axis dialed in. However, the flight ended the same as my first. Gotta work on some stuff still...

Looks like some success - just guns or bomb drops too?

I might try some bombing practice tonight...

Guns, Cannons, Rockets, and Bombs. Not much consistency yet, but definitely a nice looking sim with a nice feeling FM.

Still tweaking my controls and playing with graphics and HUD settings to get things to my liking.

Really looking forward to a P-51 and P-47 next year...
