Hello,

Just bought this game today and eager to play, but having some issues. First, not sure how I should map my Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS controller. I physically know how to do it, but not sure what controls should go with what options. Does anyone have a profile they can share?

Also, although I haven't gotten far, can't figure out what I might be doing wrong. When I go to take off, I start the rotors and when I do that, my helicopter starts to spin even when on the ground. If I do make it off the ground, it still is very difficult to control the craft, always seems like it wants to turn without me doing anything. I ven tried turning off all the avionics and dynamics to try and make it easier.

Any thoughts?

I think you hadn't assigned proper axis for rudder, or this axis have no proper dead zone.
also Cross couple in dynamics settings should be ENABLED.

thanks, got that part working...

Now I am struggling a bit to keep the helicopter in the air:) It seems I lose altitude all the time....have to constantly use the collection to try staying in the air...am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to keep a certain altitude while going to find targets?

you can use altitude hold - Alt+H (target altitude value can be adjusted with Alt+J and Alt+K), or stable hover - Shift+H. after some practice you will feel aircraft's motion and compensate it's deviation.

You didn't say what version you are running. Is it modded?

Thanks and sorry for leaving out the details...I am using the latest version which was on GOG with the all inclusive mod where it improves the graphics. That's about it.

As a matter of interest, GrimReaper, how are you finding the sensitivity of your HOTAS? I've found the stick portion is extremely sensitive, particularly when using the pseudo-real FM (included in EECH 1.15.2), so much so that I'm now trying to find some way to dial the sensitivity back a bit. OK, a lot. Have you found it particularly twitchy?
