Awesome pics man!

Pictures are great. I would like to know if it is worth adding to my hanger? Anyone who has flown it....can you list pros and cons.

Do you have the Mustang? Do you like it?

Pros:
#1 It's a phenomenal WWII fighter in DCS quality!
#2 The detail of the systems and the flight model, as with any other DCS level aircraft, is amazing.
#3 It truly feels "alive"! The way the instruments shake when you start up the engine, run it at low RPM and during taxi. The powerful gurgling sound of that Jumo engine, the way the Dora accellerates, especially if you add MW-50! It's really fast and it climbs quickly. Below 6000m (~20000ft) with equal fuel load the Mustang can't keep up!.
#4 It is very challenging but also very fun to fly.

Cons:
#1 At this point in time there is only one other WWII fighter (the Mustang) in DCS to fight against (next one will be an other german fighter, the Bf 109K-4 but the Spitfire Mk IX and Mk XIV are being worked on as well as a P-47D) and DCS is currently missing any kind of WWII era units (Bombers, Ground Units etc.)
#2 The damage model is somewhat lacking, especially fighting against AI which doesn't seem care about hits unless you kill it.
#3 No European theatre yet (Roadmap says Normandy terrain should arrive sometime in 2015)

The good thing about the cons? EDGE is around the corner and most of this stuff is being worked on (apart from the damage model where I don't know if there are changes planned). If everything goes according to plan (which rarely happens^^) we'll get a new WWII fighter about every three months from now on and the Normandy terrain sometime next year. Fun times ahead!

IMO it's well worth the money! I simply love it.

Here's a short flight I recorded two days ago:

BadBud, If you own the P-51D, this is a must buy. I never really like WWII era but these two planes have changed my mind alot!

You can really "feel" the torque on this plane. The flight model is phenomenal.

It is still a beta and not out on steam yet(middle of August IIRC).

It might be worth waiting for the fall or winter DCS sale and see if you can pick it up for cheap.

Derby hit the nail on the head with the Pros and Cons.

I think the cons will disappear as we see more WWII planes release.
