Video card failed (old card=GeForce GTX 560 Ti). Need new one. Look at my specs-PC is aging, so I need something somewhat better but not the greatest or newest. Something reasonable. Thanks in advance for recommendations.

Very pleased with my GTX 770. Upper end, but the price is the cut off before they get truly expensive. Around $335 on amazon now.

that card will be perfect.. your system may be aging but still a very good cpu and all.. You can OverClock that CPU too a bit I had mine at 4.3ghz with an aftermarket cooler.. I think I will upgrade the CPU once the card issue is resolved. Which CPU do you recommend? Should I get more RAM?

You may find the cpu is fine, and I see no reason to up the memory. People get a lot of mileage out of those intel cpu's.

Yes that CPU is still a good one probally won't see much difference with an upgrade.. I would just OC it.. that is what the "K" stands for unlocked for Overclocking.. you have a good enough aftermarket heatsink that is what I use.. Still do in an IvyBridge.. Well I had 16gb did not see much difference 8gb is a good amount

I've got a GTX770 and I'm running an i7-2600k @ stock speeds and I've not had any issues really with any of my games, aside from an occasional issue in DCS or Arma 3 that is scenario-specific (and everyone seems to get them in those titles).
