Actually, what it looks like, is Rise Of Flight. I can't help wondering why this wasn't simply made an add-on for that sim.

I believe the was built specifically for a customer, its just getting released to everyone.

Gorgeous shots!

Pooch - It is a standalone product separate from ROF, but it uses the ROF engine. Why? Because the Russian Military Historical Society funded its development so they deserve a standalone product and not simply an add-on to ROF. Also, we are going to experiment with mouse-control and we did not want to upset the play balance if we got it wrong with ROF, so as a standalone we have that chance to experiment. If you want to play Western Front play ROF. If you want Eastern Front launch IM. It also helped with media that this was a standalone product and not an add-on to a 5 year old sim. A little cleverness on our part. And it helps with retail.

Think of it as a part of the ROF universe with a separate .exe.

Jason - what's the thinking post Battle of Stalingrad? Would you go back to WW1 or would you look at another WW2 theatre?

Jason, thanks for that reply. I get it. If I did pick this up, though , it wouldn't be for the Mouremets, which doesn't really interest me. It would be because I could fly my Nieuport 17 on line without running into Fokker Triplanes.

I would have bought this as an addon plane even if the price was 20 bucks... but I have no interest in buying a limited version of RoF with this plane and added mouse control.

Mouse control is entirely optional.
