OK, so the Xbox One has been out for a while now, but game selection still SUCKS IMO... besides CoD Ghost, BF4, and FM5...really not much else out, I mean their are some more games IE: Titanfall and recently Sniper Elite... but the only sport games are fifi and madden ports from 360 to ONE... and I know a few games are coming this year for the one finally, like Madden 15, NHL 15, and Dragon Age...

But still a number of games are still not coming to next gen till 2015... where are the F'in next gen games, I'm already surprised that no new Ghost Recon or Codemasters F1 or DiRT series has been released... and now Codemasters announces F1 2014 for Xbox 360, with another F1 game coming, yep you guessed it...in 2015 for next gen... BS, IMO, The day the next gen consoles were released their should a of been a much bigger game selection... I still turn on my new Xbox One, only to see 4 games in my collection... and all the games I've already been playing on 360 and PC.

It's the same with every generation obviously, game development have big cicles, 3-4 years, you can't have everyone adopting to develop on a new system that wasnt even closed in spec, without knowing the reception it would have, so they play safe, making games for last gen, or for "both"

Same for PS4. I currently have no games for the PS4 and the only game worth calling next gen is Destiny which isn't out until September and the only real use my PS4 has had was playing the Destiny alpha and beta...

I'd imagine people are still attached to their 360's and PS3's, no need to move on. Puts devs and publishers in an awkward spot knowing what direction to go with games. If you want sales, it needs to be able to run on the older consoles, which means not pushing the boundaries.
There isn't a HUGE difference between the new consoles and the last, or at least not like it was going from Xbox to 360, PS2 to PS3. That was the difference in going from SD to HDTV. Now...surely better hardware, but not the visual difference that was back then.

Until XBO or PS4 gets BWC, ......

That will be sweet, as long as you don't have to re-buy favorites in digital form or some craziness like that.
Regardless, that will be a good reason to pick up a PS4 so I can play the PS3 games too.

I was thinking about this when the whole E3 thing last year put Xbox one behind PS4 in terms of price/used games. If it would have been possible…one of the ways the Xbox One could have evened the score was if they offered 100% backwards compatibilty with the 360. No streaming crap or extra services…just put in a 360 disc and play.

Could have shifted sales a little more in their favor IMO.

I agree with Magnum. I haven't bought an Xbox One game since Titanfall, 4-5 months ago. Most of the games I want to buy for it got delayed until next year. It's just as bad over on PS4. Currently PS4 owners are circle-jerking over crappy indie games that are out on PC too. And the remastered version of the PS3 game "The Last of Us".

I feel like they should have just released the next-gen consoles a year later.

I just got a Xbox One. I picked up Forza 5 and UFC. Looking forward to Madden 15 FIFA 15 and NHL 15. Also Forza Horizons. I kinda like the lack of games. Honestly I haven't seen many come out in recent years that have really jumped out at me, on current or next gen.
